Study Abroad

There is no better time to contribute to the Lyford Project (and receive credit for the Mellon Scholars Program) than during your semester abroad. While studying off-campus, Mellon Scholars may explore the history of transportation and travel or conduct a study of the local landscape and architecture. Students may also choose to write a series of short stories inspired by the culture's folklore or pen a personal travel memoir. All of these potential sub-projects will be showcased on the Lyford Project's website. A detailed sub-project proposal must be submitted and approved by the directors of the Mellon Scholars Program and the Lyford Project. Click here to explore Hope College's off-campus programs. Click the links to learn about studying off-campus as a Junior and Senior Mellon Scholar.
